CAMHS Crisis & Outreach Team

Interact provide crisis and outreach function to children and young people 0-17 year olds from Waltham Forest, Havering, Redbridge and Barking and Dagenham. Main duties of the job We offer a comprehensive assessment of an individual's mental health, psychological and social needs all aimed at supporting the thrive model. We are presently seeking to recruit a Clinical Lead to join a dynamic team of professionals in providing a high-quality CAMHS mental health service. Carrying this portfolio specifically, the post holder will work directly with a caseload of Children regarding their use of emergency services, in order to promote prevention of mental health crises and increased engagement with community and alternative support, where this may provide better long term outcomes in their care. The post offers a unique opportunity to consolidate and enhance clinical leadership skills in the assessment and treatment with CAMHS mental health services as well as working with a wide range of specialists and partner agencies. Applicants will need to show significant clinical experience, a working knowledge of acute mental illness, be able to work autonomously as well as co-lead a team of experienced mental health professionals to deliver a gold standard service. Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff). Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex. High-Cost Area Supplement - London This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of 4,313 and a maximum payment of 5,436).   • RMN, Social Care, OT qualification - Degree and above
