Residential Childcare Apprenticeship Trainer at an Award-Winning Training Provider

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engaging 1-to-1 or group activities to enhance learners' skills and knowledge in residential childcare.
  • Oversee a group of learners, guiding them towards successful completion of their apprenticeships through a blended delivery approach.
  • Build strong relationships within the team, clients, managers, and learners.
  • Provide support to learners with additional learning needs.
  • Track and support learner progress throughout their apprenticeship journey.
  • Assist learners in achieving Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Mathematics if they do not initially possess these qualifications.
  • Support learners in compiling evidence to meet the requirements for End-Point Assessment (EPA).

Experience and Skills:

  • Hold an Assessor qualification such as CAVA, TAQA, or equivalent (or be willing to work towards obtaining the qualification).
  • Possess a Teaching qualification like AET, PTLLS, or equivalent (or be willing to work towards obtaining the qualification).
  • Familiarity with the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF).
  • Previous experience in a residential or similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft packages.
  • Hold a qualification at Level 2 or above in Leadership and Management or have managerial experience in a residential setting.
  • Have a qualification in Functional Skills Level 2 or Mathematics and English Grace C or higher.
