Here at Lendlease we are recruiting for a Head of Acquisitions to join our growing European Investment team.

As the Head of Acquisitions your will be accountable for leading the identification, appraisal and execution of transactions to support the external growth of Lendlease's European Investment Management business.

Reporting to the Managing Director Investment Management, the Head of Acquisitions will be a member of the Executive Leadership Team and will have joint responsibility for the achievement of the overall business unit objectives.


The role will be an advocate of the Lendlease values through internal and external activity and will proactively support business growth and the development of people.


What you will do:

  • Prepare strategies for new markets or sectors in Europe aligned to Lendlease and investor focus areas, working with the Head of Capital Equity to define investment propositions
  • Deal origination & execution. Identify, filter, and present acquisition opportunities to Lendlease and third party investors in conjunction with the Head of Capital Equity to secure investment commitments
  • Managing due diligence and deal structuring, integrating workstreams across multiple business units
  • Work closely with the Capital team to appraise and structure transactions, and the wider Lendlease and Investor functional teams to secure appropriate approvals
  • Manage & develop a team of Investment Managers and Investment Analysts on transaction identification and execution

What you will bring:

  • Experience of identifying and executing a deal; working with a variety of stakeholders (internal and external), securing the most favourable terms
  • Strong understanding of deal structuring and a wide variety of partnership delivery models including financial and operational elements and the ability to translate and deliver investor specific requirements
  • Strategic / big picture thinking ability to assess markets and sectors strategically and align focus to investor needs
  • Strong understanding of the European Market(s), Market Dynamic and trends.
  • Commercial acumen effective appraisal of opportunities including balance of risk and reward
