Hunter Mason's client operates in the commercial glazing and façade services sector, catering to a diverse range of commercial properties. They are currently seeking a skilled project manager experienced in high-level glass replacements and adept at managing projects in occupied facilities to bolster their maintenance team.

Overview of the Role

  • Report to the Divisional Associate Director on ongoing projects
  • Attend handover meetings conducted by the associate director, overseeing projects post-handover with assistance from project coordinators
  • Supervise project coordinators from order receipt to project completion, allocating site operatives accordingly
  • Offer guidance to project coordinators on technical aspects of glazing projects
  • Visit project sites to assess equipment needs and site conditions for method statement and risk assessment preparation
  • Review project risk assessments methodically
  • Organize materials, equipment, and teams for project completion
  • Ensure timely invoicing and payment processing upon project completion
  • Conduct site surveys to evaluate glass and system conditions
  • Quality-check survey reports prepared by project coordinators
  • Undertake miscellaneous tasks as required by the associate director
  • Oversee all safety aspects and maintain proper client communication
  • Ensure projects are financially viable and report scope variations

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience in working at heights on commercial glazing projects
  • Technical understanding of Commercial Glazing and Glazing systems (Planar, Schuco, Raico)
  • Familiarity with maintenance projects involving multiple small projects concurrently
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Prior experience in Glazing Maintenance and managing multiple projects and teams
  • Valid CSCS card, SMSTS or SSSTS certification or willingness to obtain
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK
  • Flexible work hours and occasional weekend or night work
  • Proactive, organized, team-oriented, forward-thinking, and capable of multitasking
