Senior Design Engineer

Adecco UK Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering designs within budget, managing resource allocations, and working with the Senior Management Team to assist with projects from other offices and disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Delivery: Ensure that designs are delivered on time and within budget, meeting the requirements of all authorities and bodies.
  • Resource Management: Manage resource allocations to ensure that team members are fully utilized and that projects are completed efficiently.
  • Project Coordination: Work with the Senior Management Team to assist with projects from other offices and disciplines, ensuring that all requirements are met.
  • Design Authorization: Authorize design information and reports, ensuring that they meet the required standards.
  • Technical Compliance: Ensure that all designs are prepared in accordance with MCHW and DMRB guidance.
Requirements:
  • Highway Design Experience: Proven experience in Section 278 and Section 38 highway design projects.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience in developing, mentoring, and supervising Highway Design staff.
  • Technical Knowledge: Robust working knowledge of highways technical documents within the DMRB.
  • Contract Management: Experience in managing the development of contract documents in accordance with relevant Highway contracts.
  • Software Skills: Experience in highway drainage design and use of MicroDrainage software, as well as working knowledge of the Civils 3D CAD package.
