Are you looking for a temporary and exciting opportunity in the healthcare sector? We have an incredible opportunity for a Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) to join our team at the Airedale Mental Health Unit, part of the esteemed Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.


As a Band 2 HCSW, you will be an essential part of our team, providing invaluable support and care to our patients.

You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the physical and mental well-being of our patients is prioritized and maintained at all times.


Your role will involve various tasks and responsibilities, all aimed at enhancing the quality of care provided within the unit.

You will carry out patient observations, record vital signs, and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Your understanding of healthcare protocols and your attention to detail will be vital in identifying and promptly addressing any issues that may arise.


In addition to the observational aspects of your role, you will also be directly involved in assisting patients with their personal care needs.

This will include supporting individuals with bathing, dressing, and maintaining their personal hygiene.

Your compassionate nature and ability to connect with patients on a personal level will ensure their dignity and well-being are upheld throughout their time in our care.


Your role as a Band 2 HCSW will also involve providing emotional support to patients, as mental health is a key part of their overall well-being.

You will listen to and engage with patients, promoting a safe and inclusive environment where they feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and concerns.

Your empathy and strong interpersonal skills will be crucial in making a positive impact on our patients' lives.


As this is a temporary position, lasting for a specific period from 12/02/2024 to 12/02/2024, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

You will work a shift pattern from 07:30:00 to 20:00:00, ensuring 100% focus on providing exceptional care to our patients.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will be rewarded with a competitive payment rate of £130.25 per shift, paid through the
PAYE system.
