  • We're looking for enthusiastic, proactive team members to support delivery of work across several regimes within the Waste & Industry Regulatory Services (WIRS) department

WIRS is committed to data excellence; we collate, analyse, and use our technical expertise to interpret data, which informs regulation, enforcement, and legislation.

In the role you will

The team
  • WIRS is an inclusive and passionate department consisting of experienced and knowledgeable regulatory and technical staff. We work with colleagues across the organisation and a variety of external stakeholders to provide environmental guidance and regulation and ensure priorities are informed by evidence and insight.

Key regimes:
Regulatory Waste Returns, Chemical Compliance, Pollution Inventory, Hazardous Waste and Waste Tracking.
Working nationally, our staff are predominantly based Quadrant 2, Sheffield, although some staff work from other locations.

  • Experience/skills required
  • You will require good written and verbal communication skills, have the ability to follow written processes and use different digital tools.
Relevant work experience would be an advantage, however being able to demonstrate the following list of skills will be important:
