Key Responsibilities- Assess applications for environmental permits and licenses, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Work with a team of permitting officers to assess a caseload of applications and make decisions on applications
- Develop relationships with a range of partners and stakeholders, including permit applicants and local communities
- Coach and mentor junior permitting officers in their roles
- Stay up-to-date with environmental permitting legislation and regulatory obligations
- Relevant experience in environmental permitting or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in IT systems and tools, including data analysis and management
- A competitive salary of £28,785 pro-rata
