The Team's main objective is to deliver projects on behalf of internal clients, e.g. Transport, Sustainability, Parks for the benefit of Lambeth residents and visitors to the borough.

The key task is to be responsible for ensuring that an internal and external supply chain deliver a portfolio of high profile, complex capital and non-capital Highway, Public Realm and Parks projects, each up to £10m in value, to specified outputs within budget, at the agreed time to the specified quality.

Project Management accreditation or excellent knowledge of the processes that lie behind successful project management.
Knowledge of business planning at strategic level and service improvements within a council environment.

Minimum 3 years' experience in a local government environment with evidence of managing and delivering capital projects, in particular Active Travel and Highways maintenance projects.

Proven contract management skills and experience of managing delivery through NEC3.
Strong financial awareness and able to periodically report and present spend on multiple projects simultaneously.

Extensive experience of writing detailed reports and business cases, and able to present complex issues to a variety of audiences in written or verbal formats.

Experience of networking at all levels with the ability to build relationships to achieve objectives and improve business processes and delivery.

Experience of using a wide range of management, project and analysis tools for the preparation/presentation of information.

Excellent time management skills with proven experience of dealing with a variety of highly complex work streams and projects, prioritising as required.
