Corporate and Institutional Coverage (CIC) is an origination and coverage business operating across the UK and North America focused on serving the needs of Mid and Large Cap clients. The business leads with a sector and relationship focus, whilst maintaining UK regional delivery through hubs in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds and Manchester.

We current having an exciting opportunity for a Head of Corporate Cash Management & Payments to join our London based team. You'll lead a portfolio of complex customer relationships to ensure the delivery of a quality service and growth of profitable business and manage a small team of account managers.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • Leading key client and customer relationships, typically by using account teams to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty toward the organisation.
  • Identifying shortcomings, suggests improvements and implements approved revisions to current compliance processes, systems and procedures within assigned unit and/or discipline.
  • Meeting the needs of significant customers related to complex, often customised products.

Managing the definition, development and delivery of significant financial products and offers to ensure alignment with customer requirements.

  • Taking ownership for implementing a team's formal development framework with guidance from senior colleagues, while informally mentoring others throughout the organisation in area of expertise and pursuing and investing in opportunities for own personal development.
  • Identifying shortcomings, then suggests and implements improvements to existing business practices, while developing and delivering projects or a work stream within the organisation's change management programme.
  • Setting medium term objectives and takes responsibility for implement a team's performance management systems.
  • Running a significant portion of the organisation's risk management and/or control process, contributing to the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
  • Developing innovative solutions by integrating and analysing complex and diverse information sources.
  • Developing tactical plans for optimisation of resources and assets being managed within a given area or department.

Essential skills:

  • Sound knowledge of the payments landscape; innovation, technology and the market trends driving the business forward.
  • Experience at setting strategy, building pipeline momentum and delivering sales performance targets.
  • Sound commercial, technical and risk-based decision making capability
  • Identify product gaps or new product opportunities to influence the development of key new product service initiatives and more cost-effective delivery channels
  • Ability to evaluate industry, market, customer competitor and regulatory trends to ensure that identifiable risks and opportunities are defined and developed in order to deliver the appropriate response that protects and develops business benefits to the Group
