The Role


As our Product Marketing Lead, you'll be the expert, mapping out the market landscape with precision, and forecasting the trends that will put us ahead.

You'll craft go-to-market strategies that resonate with diverse sectors, identifying and prioritising new opportunities with the insight of a market expert.

Your role is pivotal—bridging product development with market realities, sharing insights that shape our product offerings. You'll collaborate with a dedicated product team to ensure Speechmatics' presence in key markets is both strategic and impactful.


Your narrative will lay the groundwork for partnerships, sculpt go-to-market strategies across geographies, sectors, and use cases, and paint the big picture of where we're headed next.

What you'll be doing:

  • Establish strategic positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation
  • Working globally to understand market segmentation, opportunities to grow and competitor analysis
  • Work with and influence Product Managers with specific recommendations from competitor, sector and geographic analysis
  • Drive the development of clear and compelling messaging and value propositions that differentiate our products in the market globally and by region.
  • Work across the organisation and directly with customers to build buyer personas and map out the customer journey, while identifying opportunities to optimise the customer experience.
  • Communicate value proposition of our products and enhancements to sales while assisting in the development of messaging and tools that enable sales to grow the business.
  • Identify and prioritise target markets and defining gotomarket strategy
  • Identify potential strategic partners for Speechmatics
  • Identify external influencers for Speechmatics
  • Work with internal product/technology evangelists to ensure elevated position for Speechmatics in market
  • Work with the content, digital marketing and marketing communications team to influence and improve their output and make as marketrelevant as possible
  • Write market reports and whitepapers, for example, for use across marketing and sales

Who we are looking for:

  • Background in product marketing for a technical product (ML or Deep Learning Adjacent)
  • Experience defining product positioning for technical products/technology/concepts
  • Ability to derive insight from data and research efforts
  • Effective management of market research projects with external analysts/researchers
  • Comfortable working across functions and with both technical and commercial people
  • Excellent written and verbal communication so that ideas and recommendations can be effectively shared with others
