Who we are:

White Stuff was established in 1985 through a simple idea.

This idea grew and now we have shops and concessions in the UK and internationally, selling women's and men's clothing as well as beautiful accessories and homeware.

Our original prints (all designed in house), intricate details and considered design touches reflect our personality and make us subtly distinctive.

Our people are at the heart of our brand, constantly moving and driving us forward. We're sociable, talented and likeminded and we're not hierarchical or political in how we do business. We encourage entrepreneurial ideas and accountability at all levels.

Who you are:

A creative and detail-oriented person who takes pride in their work and strives to produce only the highest quality imagery in all work streams.

You'll be excited by the challenges faced of launching White Stuff's in-house photography studio, bringing to it a wealth of knowledge and experience from previous roles.

You're a highly motivated individual, who actively seeks out areas of improvement by constantly reviewing output and looking to our industry competitors and the wider fashion world for inspiration.

Primary objective of the job:

  • Correct any minor issues and communicate to the retouch team any imagery that needs further work
  • Recrop and distribute imagery to White Stuff third parties as required
  • Upload all final assets to the dam
  • Ensure the daily output target and weekly productivity requirements are met and all assets are uploaded to the deadline
  • Communicate to the Creative Producer any issues with timings
  • Support the Creative Producer, Senior Photographer and Senior Retoucher in building White Stuff's In House Shoot guide and implementation of it.
  • Work with the Creative Producer, wider creative and studio team on improving White Stuff imagery across the board. Continually monitor standards to ensure consistency and to improve quality ensuring the output is to the highest standard

What you'll need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or in a retouch role within ecommerce
  • Experience working in a professional ecommerce studio environment
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Photoshop with a strong understanding of colour correction with experience in Mac OSX computing platforms and Microsoft

  • Selfmotivated but able to work within a very closeknit team.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Personal traits:

  • A keen creative eye, high standards, and attention to detail
  • High levels of taste and a desire to improve.
  • To be able to work well under pressure and have a flexible attitude.
  • To be able to adapt from volume product shots to creative briefs with ease.
  • Committed to achieving the best quality imagery at all times
