Position Overview

The main focus of the SEO Strategist role is to develop and execute innovative and efficient SEO strategies for our clients to help them achieve their goals. This position includes interacting with clients and potential clients, as well as supporting the Head of SEO in overseeing and guiding the SEO Team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of SEO in supervising, coaching, and inspiring the SEO team
  • Effectively communicate SEO strategies to clients and potential clients
  • Participate in regular client strategy review meetings and provide input to the SEO team and Department Heads
  • Develop and implement SEO strategies for clients and potential clients
  • Cultivate and enhance professional relationships with clients to assist in their goal attainment and client retention
  • Conduct client site crawls, identify issues, and allocate corrective tasks
  • Generate gap analysis reports
  • Assess the success of client campaigns, provide feedback to the Head of SEO, and offer recommendations
  • Create and manage client website migration plans
  • Perform link building activities - identify outreach opportunities, verify links, and produce link content
  • Provide internal SEO training to the Zelst team as needed to ensure all team members have the requisite SEO expertise
  • Assist in preparing monthly and special client reports in a timely and accurate manner
  • Conduct technical SEO site audits as necessary
  • Participate in onboarding new clients
  • Contribute to client presentations and pitches as required
  • Assist in competitor analysis, identify areas of interest, propose solutions, and suggest new ideas to maintain Zelst's competitiveness in the Search Marketing field
  • Share fresh ideas and innovative strategies with the team
  • Be open to constructive feedback
  • Ensure timely completion of time sheets
  • Adapt to and utilize various software systems for daily work and tasks
  • Undertake any additional tasks as needed according to business requirements

Key Skills, Experience, and Attributes

  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in an SEO role
  • Thorough knowledge of SEO best practices and proven experience implementing them
  • Experience in building client relationships and providing exceptional customer service
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching team members

Work Environment

The SEO Strategist position is primarily office-based, with the option for remote work.

Salary:

Annual salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000, based on experience and skills.

Holiday Entitlement

Starting with 25 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days plus bank holidays with tenure.
