Job Summary

This is a great opportunity to become a matron for Surgery and Patient Flow in our surgical senior team. Your responsibilities will include managing the surgical short stay unit, patient flow, and overseeing other senior staff members like CNS/ANPs/PEs.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Handle the operational management and leadership of designated clinical areas and staff to ensure performance and budget goals are achieved
  • Act as a visible leader, supporting high standards of nursing care and service delivery
  • Identify areas for improvement, plan changes using current evidence, and assess outcomes
  • Enhance the patient environment and lead changes to enhance patient experience
  • Manage patient flow effectively through the service
