Our client, a law enforcement organisation is currently looking for Intelligence Officers to join their busy team in their London offices near Embankment.

The role is paying £14.22 per hour, and hours are full-time Monday to Friday on a hybrid basis
- you are required to work in the office two days a week. The role will be initially 6 months, looking to start immediately following a security clearance prior to commencing the role which can take up to 4 weeks.

Job Description;
***- Working as part of a team to handle reports via SFO On-line reporting portal to accurately capture information and provide a professional first point of contact within the organisation.

  • Collating and validating information, evaluating the credibility of sources and the reliability and relevance of their information.
  • Building accurate and comprehensive intelligence assessments, identifying potential suspects and criminality, in alignment with the Director's Statement of Principle.
  • Undertaking, evaluating and summarising research on commercial and intelligence sources to meet the needs of operational case teams in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Providing advice and best practice to operational teams on further appropriate research.
  • Updating the open source intelligence manual with new sources of information as a means of extending team knowledge.
  • Developing strong working relationships with internal and external customers to understand their intelligence requirements.
  • Liaising and collaborating with bodies across the public and private sectors (including other government agencies and relevant Police Forces) in order to collect information which may further enhance the intelligence picture.

Essential Criteria:

  • Practical experience of undertaking indepth research preferably in relation to criminal or corporate fraud investigations.
  • Ability to work in a team and on own initiative in the face of changing priorities and delivery deadlines.
  • Ability to manage own intelligence project caseload.
  • Ability to understand and summarise multiple sources of information in a readily comprehensible form.
  • Ability to understand complex information and present this in a readily comprehensible form.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft products, especially Word and Excel.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills.

Desirable

  • Criminal law experience and/or previous exposure to prosecutions or similar investigations.
  • Experience of large document review exercises and working with digital document review platforms.
