Warwickshire Children and Families is committed to working with children and their families to ensure children are safe, happy and can work towards good outcomes.

Part of our aim is to become a centre of excellence for trauma informed work within both our Youth Justice Service and Family and Adolescent Support Teams (FAST).

We are looking for a experienced Social Worker who can help drive the investment in our trauma approach.

You will have a good understanding of trauma informed work and an ability to deliver and embed change within organisations.

You will be passionate about helping children desist from crime and dedicated to preventing future victims.

You will understand how the trauma journey of the child affects outcomes and be passionate about helping children reach their goals.


The post will offer you the opportunity:

  • To collaborate with the Youth Justice Service and FAST to ensure the work is trauma influenced and informed.
  • To support and guide colleagues in delivering good interventions with children
  • Share work across teams in Children and Families.
  • To manage information sharing from all agencies, recording the concerns on appropriate data bases, analysing both historical and current concerns to achieve a timely response adhering to timescales.
  • To provide consultation and advice to partner agencies.
  • To supervise alternatively qualified staff
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the challenges associated with working with children and their families is essential.
  • Applicants for the role will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.
