About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high standard of perioperative care without direct supervision, based on a sound evidence base.
  • Provide skilled clinical assistance to the surgical, anaesthetic, and recovery teams.
  • Undertake and document a comprehensive, systematic, and accurate perioperative care assessment of the physical, social, and spiritual needs of the patient where appropriate.
  • Create and utilize opportunities to promote health and wellbeing of patients in their care.
  • Lead a perioperative team to manage a group of patients throughout a shift.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 12 months post-registration within the Perioperative environment.
  • Scrub experience within emergency specialty, including general, gynae, urology, and trauma.
  • Recovery experience.
  • Registered General Nurse and/or Registered Operating Department Practitioner.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
