We have an opportunity to recruit a part-time (2.5 days per week) Senior Project Coordinator to support our regional and property teams deliver the National Trust's ambitions for Land and Nature.


What it's like to work here:This post is offered on a two-year fixed term contract and will be based at the Bristol Hub with occasional travel when necessary.

There will be the opportunity to include hybrid working between office and home. You'll be line managed from the internal Bristol Consultancy Team

What you'll be doing:
The National Trust is focused on restoring nature and tackling climate change. These are strategic priorities for the organisation which cross-cut across our conservation disciplines.

Based in the Land and Nature consultancy team, you'll play a key role in delivering our commitments by supporting property specific projects and strategic regional priorities.


You'll work closely with the Sherborne (Cotswolds) property team to coordinate project team and board meetings, arranging them, preparing minutes and supporting the procurement of goods and services for the projects.

This is a large and exciting Cotswolds estate where we are delivering our Land and Nature ambitions at scale.

This includes nature recovery, woodland creation, low carbon land management, and increasing visitor access so people can enjoy and benefit from a nature-rich landscape.

You'll support the both the delivery of existing projects and the development of new ones.

You'll also support the regional Land and Nature consultancy team to shape and deliver our strategic ambitions.

This will include supporting specialist advisers to develop projects, frameworks and pipelines which will improve the state of nature on National Trust land and help us reach our 2030 carbon net-zero target.

A key part of this role will be collaborative and flexible working across several projects at any one time.

The ability to build relationships, share knowledge, co-ordinate stakeholders, identify efficiencies where similar tasks are being delivered in multiple places and excellent organizational skills will important.

You'll also develop and handle new project management

Who we're looking forWe will shortlist based on the following criteria:

  • Excellent knowledge and practical experience of project management processes, administration and systems, including procurement, finance and reporting.
  • Good people and stakeholder management skills with ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Proven experience of budgeting and able to collate, maintain, analyse, and prepare data for reporting purposes.
  • Experience of conducting research / pulling together evidence and analysing to support decisions including identifying and analysing data, past projects or findings, market research and understanding visitors/customers
  • Strong and sensitive written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft packages, in particular Excel and comfortable working with a range of different systems such as financial, visitor analytics (training provided)
  • Able to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines using a thorough, detailed approach to work.
  • Confident with diary management and organising practicalities for facetoface meetings, like minute taking, action log/risk log support.
