We are looking for those who are patient, happy and enthusiastic to be excellent SEN Teaching Assistants.
We need motivated people who are up for a challenge & the right attitudes and personalities, as well as a true passion to support vulnerable children.
The school caters for children who have communication & interaction needs or may be non verbal. Therefore, the young childrenneed emotional support and a helping hand throughout their learning experience. The children may experience behavioural challenges,so SEN Teaching Assistants will need to be calm and patient.We look for someone who is willing to offer their dedication to help the children to really thrive and enjoy their learning.

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities::
- You will ensure classrooms are ready for lessons, helping those who need extra support with tasks, and creating a happy learning environment.
- Ensure all children are safe and content during the day.
- You will need to be confident to get involved with class discussions and learning activities, as well as being creative.
- You must be able to communicate effectively and be able to provide effective feedback to the class teacher on pupil progress.
- Support learners with special educational needs both academically and emotionally.
- Be open to learning new skills every day.
- Establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils in order to support them feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the school.
- Encourage independence and personal development in pupils and maintain high expectations of behaviour at all times.
- Support children to be engaged in educational activities and experiences.
- To promote pupils' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development and spiritual wellbeing.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Must be enthusiastic to learn and develop your skills
- Be commutable to New Malden, Surrey
- Have a bubbly and happy personality
- Patience and a passion to help vulnerable young people
- Able to engage with others well using fantastic communication skills
- Be dedicated to supporting pupils within special education
- Have excellent verbal and communication skills
- Be a positive team player with a good sense of humour
