Finance Assistant:

Our Client is searching for a Finance Assistant to join their small team based in Dyce. You will act as the focal point in the business for all elements of transactional finance.

You will be confident in dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders providing accurate and efficient information relating to finance operations.


Responsibilities:

Financial Transaction Management:
Initiate draft invoices and oversee the invoicing process.
Reconcile expenses and ensure accuracy in financial records.
Input financial transactions into Netsuite, including purchase orders and vendor invoices.
Verify bank statements against financial records to maintain accuracy.

Financial Reporting and Documentation:
Assist in preparing financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Maintain project job trackers and ensure proper documentation in project folders.
Generate draft project profit and loss statements.
Support in the preparation and submission of VAT returns.

Financial Process Support:
Monitor accounts receivable and payable, follow up on overdue invoices for timely payments.
Execute monthly accruals and amortization of bills.
Assist in monitoring budgets and identifying variances.
Maintain the fixed asset register up to date.

Administrative Support and Collaboration:
Update CRM systems with necessary financial details.
Collaborate with external parties and provide support during meetings.
Contribute to process optimization and ensure all financial procedures are up-to-date.

Financial Analysis and Oversight:
Conduct basic financial analysis as required to support decision-making processes.
Assist with month-end reporting procedures.
Plan and facilitate quarterly inventory counts to ensure accuracy in financial inventory.

Skills and Experience:
Minimum of three years' experience in a financial role.
Proficiency in Netsuite or other ERP system, CRM, and Sharepoint platforms is beneficial, but not essential.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change.
