Company: Finitas is collaborating with this thriving AI company to find a skilled Finance Assistant to add to their team.
This role allows part-time work, 22.5 to 30 hours weekly in the office with a great flexible working policy. The salary ranges from £28k to £30k pro-rata.
As a Finance Assistant, you'll have a vital role in managing financial records, dealing with purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. You'll report directly to the Finance Manager and assist in the day-to-day activities of the accounting department.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming invoices, ensuring correct processing and timely payments.
- Aid in preparing monthly financial statements and reports.
- Maintain precise and current records of financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Process employee expense claims efficiently.
- Assist in the monthly payroll process.
- Provide support for budget planning and monitoring.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
- Participate in preparing VAT returns and other necessary financial filings.
- Offer administrative support to the Finance Team when required.
Skills
- Experience in Project accounting and group accounting is beneficial.
- Strong grasp of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles for payables and receivables.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiar with Xero finance software.
- Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent skills in analysis, problem-solving, and communication.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
