Job Description

  • Manage and oversee the team, building an open, performance orientated culture
  • Ensure materials are procured and delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Optimise inventory levels to meet customer demand requirements.
  • Implement and maintain effective supply chain strategies.
  • Collaborate with various departments to forecast needs, and drive efficiencies
  • Manage supplier relationships, building trust and performance
  • Monitor and report on key supply chain metrics.
  • Assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Material Controller should have:

  • A track record supporting a growing, fast paced, distribution operation
  • Experience in a managerial role within the distribution sector, used to working in, and fostering a performance, high energy culture
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in supply chain software (ERP systems / forecasting tools)
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Comfortable holding a team to account, whilst energising, motivating, and engaging
