Position Title: MIG Welder

* Location: Skelmersdale

* Salary: £15-£17 per hour

* Term: Permanent position

* Shift: Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm, Friday 8am to 3:30pm

Job Summary:
We are working with a general and precision engineering company based in Skelmersdale in their search for a skilled MIG Welder to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding work to join metal components. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of metals and welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform welding activities on a variety of materials including Stainless Steel, Duplex and Titanium.

* Weld various joint configurations in all positions.

* Working on medium to heavy fabrications.

* Review engineering drawings for parts to weld.

* Be able to work using their own initiative or as part of a team.

* Will be able to conduct a short on-site weld test.

Skills:

* Proficient in MIG welding techniques and equipment.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

* Ideally a coded welder.

* Strong attention to detail and quality control.

* Familiarity with safety practices and procedures in a welding environment.

* Be able to work using their own initiative or as part of a team.
