About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Delivery Officer to join our Repairs & Servicing Team at West Lancashire Borough Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our statutory obligations are met, with a focus on asbestos removal and surveying.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the relevant contractor responsible for asbestos removal and surveying
  • Promote and influence asbestos compliance and associated procedures
  • Perform a wide range of asbestos monitoring, including management, refurbishment, and demolition surveys
  • Inspect contractors' remediation work and provide key stakeholders with professional and courteous service
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BOHS P402 - Building Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos
  • BOHS P405 - Management of Asbestos in Buildings
  • Well-educated in internationally recognized assurance and control procedures for sampling and analysing asbestos materials
  • Ability to interpret and utilise data to manage performance and undertake reviews
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing effective outcome-based solutions to problems
