About the Role

White Label Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their busy engineering team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing bespoke material handling and machinery solutions for key blue-chip clients in the automotive, aerospace, modular housing, and nuclear industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical design packages, including 3D models and fabrication drawings using Solidworks.
  • Develop design concepts, controls, procedures, modeling, and production of manufacturing drawings.
  • Design and develop bespoke and existing products to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure designs conform to industry, customer, and company standards.
  • Select suitable materials, surface finishes, and coatings for products intended use.
  • Carry out regular design reviews with the team and/or customer.
  • Output accurate models, drawings, BoM's, and other technical documents.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated design experience (minimum of 3 years).
  • Must have either Solidworks or Inventor experience.
  • Must have experience in design of special purpose machinery and/or material handling equipment.
  • Detailed knowledge of drawing principles and standards.
  • Knowledge of fabrication.
