Join us as a Prudential Regulation Lead

  • You'll own and maintain a clearly defined and effective plan for regulatory engagement in relation to credit risk models
  • You'll be managing a team of specialists, making sure that they are motivated as you build on their capability and productivity
  • This is a chance to take a senior role leading the regulatory obligations for the bank's credit models
  • This role is available for a period of 12 months

What you'll do
You'll be responsible for providing leadership on regulatory compliance assessment, advice and interpretation for credit risk modelling.

We'll look to you to maintain the framework to provide assurance regarding compliance on an ongoing basis, supporting theannual CRO attestation of compliance to the PRA.


You'll also:

  • Lead the delivery of the Annual Attestation of Model Compliance, on behalf of the CRO, and engage with regulators and other external parties
  • Be the main interface to regulatory programmes with matrix management of aligned regulatory project resources
  • Contribute to the identification of strategic opportunities for the bank through a detailed understanding of regulatory requirements and developments
  • Provide effective regulatory interpretation to technical modelling teams and franchise customers relating to models, products, business strategy and customer transactions

The skills you'll need

You'll need experience of working within a regulatory regime applicable to businesses within the financial services industry and be experienced in systems and controls relating to model development, reporting and use.

You should also have a deep understanding and track record in knowledge of regulatory requirements and leading delivery in line with regulatory requirements.


You'll also need:

  • The ability to interact with senior levels within a large organisation and excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of the implications of model risk on the performance and the capital of the organisation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • The ability to translate complex topics into simple, easily understood concepts
