Senior National Account Manager

Alexander Steele are delighted to be in partnership with a fast growing Snacks/Confectionary business.

They currently have a vacancy for a Senior National Account Manager position, with a specific focus on top grocery accounts.

Responsibilities


Account ManagementnFoster and maintain strong partnerships with major national retail accounts.nCollaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of account strategies.nUtilise sales performance data to identify opportunities and address challenges effectively.


Strategic PlanningnDevelop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales and profitability goals.nIdentify areas for growth within existing accounts and explore new business prospects.nStay informed about market trends, competitor actions, and consumer behaviours.


Negotiation and Contract ManagementnConduct negotiations to secure favourable terms and agreements with key accounts.nOversee contract renewals, pricing discussions, and promotional activities.


Forecasting and ReportingnGenerate accurate sales forecasts and provide regular updates on performance against targets.nAnalyse market dynamics to offer insights guiding strategic decisions.


Cross-Functional CollaborationnCollaborate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to align with overall business objectives.nProvide training and support to the sales team as needed.


Ideal CandidatenBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.nProven experience as a National Account Manager in the FMCG industry.nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.nExcellent negotiation and communication skills.nAbility to build and manage relationships with key stakeholders.nGoal-oriented with a focus on achieving sales objectives.nKnowledgeable about market trends and competitor landscapes.

This role requires 1 to 2 days per week in a central London Office.
