The Business Intelligence Developer will be the designated lead for specific workloads and customers while collaborating with the rest of the BI team to handle daily tasks.

The BI Developer will create, enhance, and manage business intelligence solutions, including data analytics platforms and reporting tools.

Information Management heavily relies on robust and precise processes to ensure the reliability of the data supporting departmental information and analysis. All development activities should align with Agile Methodologies and undergo a rigorous QA process.

The ideal candidate will translate business requirements into technical specifications, develop ETL and schema for reporting purposes, and also guide Junior BI Developer by assigning tasks, providing support, and supervision.

They will also take the lead in identifying solutions for issues raised during UAT, possess a clear plan for transitioning to production, create and maintain documentation and SOPs for ETL, DB, and schema objects for all DataMarts developed.

What We Expect from You
  • The candidate must hold a degree or have equivalent experience, preferably in a computer-related field. They should have previous experience in a senior technical support management role within an IT department.
  • Experience and certifications in an enterprise RDMS from reputable vendors like Microsoft or Oracle are required.
  • Proficiency in modern server operating software, notably from vendors such as Microsoft, is essential.
  • Skilled in using standard desktop software such as the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of Clinical Diagnostic, Patient Management, Clinical Support & Business Services applications in healthcare.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising staff.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
  • Must possess a valid UK/EU/EEA driving license.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Educational background in an IT-related discipline.
  • Proven track record in supporting TCP/IP networks and MS Windows server operating systems. Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Thorough knowledge of the management and support techniques necessary to maintain Microsoft products, including operating systems, SQL Server, and the MS Office suite.
  • Knowledge of healthcare applications.
  • Understanding of project management principles and methods.
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team or independently to achieve IT Helpdesk or IT Management objectives.
  • Aptitude to work under pressure and meet set deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Responsibility to ensure resolution of IT Helpdesk calls within specified service level agreements.
  • May need to participate in the departmental on-call rotation.
