Our client is a prominent provider of information in the commodities market. Their data, forecasts, and analysis give their clients a strategic edge in various markets. Their events bring industry professionals together to trade and discuss crucial issues. A global company operating across multiple continents, established over a century ago and now supported by a top private equity firm.

The role:

As a Strategic Account Manager, your main task is to oversee a group of accounts ranging from £10,000 to £100,000 in order value. You'll concentrate on expanding this customer base, spotting upsell opportunities, and minimizing churn. Your responsibilities will cover the EMEA and APAC regions as part of a Global team.

  • Using consultative sales techniques to handle renewals, uncover new prospects, and fuel growth. Adhering to the MEDDIC qualification process.
  • Efficiently managing the client portfolio to achieve sustainable growth in the long run.
  • Developing and executing account strategies to expand key customers within the portfolio
  • Leveraging Salesforce for effective pipeline management, forecasting, activity monitoring, and performance analysis.
  • Taking charge of personal growth by continuously learning, evolving, and contributing to team progress, making use of available resources.
  • Constantly enhancing understanding of Fastmarkets products and client industries.
  • Collaborating internally across functions to deliver maximum value to clients, particularly with Customer Success, Editorial, Price Development, Product & Marketing teams

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in managing and growing a £1m+ client portfolio
  • Expertise in handling complex sales and grasping customer value
  • Background in overseeing revenue accounts ranging from £10,000 to £100,000
  • Demonstrated ability to provide accurate forecasting and manage pipelines effectively
  • Proven track record of leveraging CRM and data to enhance sales performance
  • Some exposure to data licensing (or similar SaaS experience) would be advantageous
