Job Description

Revenue Finance Manager - £75-80k - London - 2 days a week in the office

My client is a leading technology solutions provider to business, government, education and healthcare organisations in the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States.

Main Purpose of Job

You will accurately deliver the month-end results including taking ownership of Services Revenue. Within this, you will create certainty and confidence in the numbers delivered, be able to explain key drivers of the results and communicate risks and opportunities to the business.

Key responsibilities:


• Provide Commercial Insight and Strategic Direction relating to Revenue and Cost of Sales


• Oversee the Revenue Reporting accordance with both ASC 606 (US GAAP) and FRS 102 (UK GAAP) to the US Group within deadlines with a focus on analysis of results and working closely with FP&A to ensure accuracy and provide comfort and explanation over results


• Development of a team of 2/3; promoting company values within your own team and the wider finance team


• Communication with stakeholders to improve understanding of systems, processes and commercial drivers; including - but not limited to - Commercial Finance, Services Finance Business Partnering, Sales Commission team, Sales department.


• Reviewing accounting policy for existing and new product offerings ensuring adherence to US Group policy


• Performance and review of multiple revenue and cost reporting related SOX controls in a timely manner, ensuring these remain fit for purpose


• Ad hoc advice on accounting treatment for new and existing offerings – to both finance and non-finance personnel


• Promote and foster a culture of continuous improvement


• Ad hoc projects as needed including, but not limited to: process improvement, improving commercial understanding etc., being subject matter in revenue and cost of sales accounting e.g. for new system development.

Knowledge & Experience


• ACA (ideally from Big 4 accounting firm), with PQE.


• Strong knowledge and proven application of US GAAP/IFRS


• Industry experience preferable but will consider other routes


• Experience in managing and developing a team


• Experience in working to tight close deadlines


• Understanding of multi reporting entities and consolidation desirable
