Fetal Medicine Team Leader

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated experienced midwife to join our Maternity Services at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust Hospital.
You will need excellent leadership, decision making, communication and organisational skills and ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team developing key working relationships and providing advice and support for the care of women.
For the post you will have superb clinical midwifery skills, previous experience in a coordinating role is desirable.You will have a credible clinical presence and be responsible for ensuring the cohort of women and pregnant people access the appropriate pathways.
You will be expected to have at least one clinical day a month in other clinical areas to maintain your wider experience.
This is a senior Midwifery role and there is an expectation that the post holder will fully participate in the clinical and professional leadership within the organisation.
This post requires an enthusiastic and motivated midwife with excellent leadership and communication skills who can demonstrate focus and commitment to creating positive experiences for patients.
- To provide specialist information, support and counselling for patients considering prenatal diagnostic tests
- To provide specialist information, support and counselling for patients with a fetal abnormality or abnormal results from prenatal diagnosis
- To work with others to organise termination of pregnancy for those parents wishing to interrupt the pregnancy
- To provide support for both parents who interrupt the pregnancy and those who continue with the pregnancy
- To be the named midwife for parents who are expecting twins or more to provide continuity of care including antenatal and intrapartum care
