Join Gi Group as a Housing Allocations Team Leader for our client based in Northamptonshire.
As the Housing Allocations Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing supervision, guidance, and support to the team in managing the client's Housing Register. Your role will involve offering comprehensive advice and information to households in need of housing.
Duties of the Housing Allocations Team Leader
Ensure that the team completes all tasks in alignment with the Housing Allocations Register and relevant legislation, including assessing eligibility and prioritization of applicants.
Supervise the team to ensure thorough enquiries are conducted for Housing Register applications, complying with policies and regulations.
Manage applications with medical needs, making appropriate decisions on priority and property allocation.
Collaborate with specialists to provide expert advice when needed.
Build and maintain relationships with partner organizations, overseeing compliance with agreements.
Conduct Housing Register reviews as required, considering all relevant factors and legal requirements.
Facilitate continuous learning for the team in housing laws and related areas.
Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to interpret complex information for decision-making.Detailed knowledge of housing laws including the Housing Act 1996 and other relevant legislation.
Understanding of homelessness laws and relevant policies at local and national levels.
