My client is a leading logistics business who are looking to add a Transport Supervisor to their busy operation based in Manchester.

This is for the day shift on a Monday - Friday shift pattern.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the transport team, including Drivers, ensuring all operational targets are met.
  • Monitor the fleet performance and ensure all vehicles are adequately maintained and serviced.
  • Ensure the transport team complies with all health & safety regulations, and any other relevant legislation.
  • Allocate resources and plan schedules to meet customer demands.
  • Monitor the performance of the transport team and take appropriate corrective actions when required.
  • Liaise with external customers, suppliers and other departments, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the transport team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Transport Supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of transport and logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team.
  • Good organisational and problemsolving skills.

Remuneration
£27,500 + Benefits
