Purchasing/Buying Administrator

Our client are a small, family run Italian food wholesaler based in the heart of Southeast London, specialising in the import and distribution of high end Italian food and drink.
We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator with excellent knowledge of Sage or a similar system.The role involves managing purchase orders, liaising with suppliers in Italy, and coordinating with transport companies to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Send orders to suppliers, primarily in Italy, and monitor them to ensure timely delivery.Liaise with suppliers and transport companies to track shipments.
Enter Purchase Orders and Invoices into Sage accounting software.
Forward Shipping Instructions to transport companies.
Resolve shipment errors with suppliers and transport companies.
Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
Monitor stock levels to ensure inventory is maintained at appropriate levels.
Liaise with warehouse staff to manage stock and inventory effectively.
Proficiency in using Sage or similar accounting software.
Native or fluent Italian speaker
Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers, transport companies, and customers.
Experience in maintaining databases and purchase records.
This role is 100% office based, Monday to Friday from 07.If you're proficient in using Sage, speak fluent or native Italian and are looking to work for a small, family run company, then I look forward to receiving your application.
