Existent is putting spatial computing in the hands of all creators by building the missing developer infrastructure and tools that developers need to build amazing applications in hours, not months.

The Existent Platform is an application framework and set of runtime tools that integrate with game engines like Unreal Engine and add fundamental tools like co-located multiplayer, full body player avatars and physical interaction mechanics right out of the box.

We're at an exciting inflection point having built our MVP and opened up to our first customers via an invite only alpha program. Now, we're ready to scale up and become the go-to tool for spatial development in our first target markets - industrial training, simulation and entertainment.

Position Overview:

As the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success and growth of Existent. Reporting directly to the CEO and working right alongside the founders, you will be responsible for developing and executing the entire go-to-market strategy from the ground up. You will lead all commercial activities, drive revenue growth and strategy.

The Role

  • Go-to-Market Strategy Development: Design and implement a comprehensive go-to-market strategy that aligns with our overall objectives and market opportunities.
  • Product Positioning and Pricing: Define the positioning, messaging, and pricing strategies for the Existent Platform, ensuring they resonate with target customers and drive competitive advantage.
  • Sales and Distribution Channels: Build and manage effective sales and distribution channels, including direct sales, partnerships, and online platforms, to maximise market penetration and revenue growth.
  • Customer Acquisition and Retention: Implement strategies to acquire new customers, focusing on customer satisfaction, loyalty, and lifetime value.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Engineering and Operations, to ensure alignment and execution of commercial initiatives.
  • Performance Measurement and Optimisation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of commercial activities, and continuously optimise strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Leadership and Team Development: When the time is right, build and lead a high-performing commercial team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to drive individual and collective success.

Requirements

  • A clear passion for building a business from zero to one
  • Proven track record in commercial leadership roles, with a focus on go-to-market strategy development and execution.
  • Extensive experience in selling software tools, preferably developer facing, into businesses with a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behaviour, and competitive landscape.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience building and leading high-performing teams in a startup environment.

Nice to haves

  • Experience of sales within training, simulation, aerospace, automotive, gaming and/or health.
  • Experience of working with early stage startups and creating revenue streams from scratch
