Position Overview:
- You will be responsible for various critical aspects:

  • Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Establish inclusive health and safety policies and procedures customized to our Test Centre and Laboratories.
  • Training and Education: Administer regular safety awareness sessions to educate staff on protocols and best practices.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk evaluations to pinpoint potential hazards in the workplace.
  • Safety Inspections: Carry out routine inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead inquiries into accidents or incidents, determining root causes and preventing future occurrences.
  • Safety Compliance: Stay updated on safety regulations and ensure compliance within the aerospace sector.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and uphold emergency response plans for various scenarios.
  • Safety Communication: Act as the main contact for all safety inquiries, supporting and guiding team members when needed.

Skills Required:
- Essential qualifications and skills include:

  • Relevant Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (e.g. NEBOSH or higher)
  • Proven experience in health and safety administration, preferably within a laboratory or testing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards relevant to the aerospace industry.
  • Excellent communication abilities to train and educate staff effectively on safety procedures.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills for thorough risk assessments and investigations.
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR and experience in emergency response planning are desirable.

This opportunity involves an umbrella contract and falls under the Inside IR35 category.
