We are looking for a Purchasing & HR Assistant to assist 2 departments within Furdeco at our Bloxwich site.
Purchasing Assistant's will include researching new vendors, tracking deliveries. Ultimately, you will make cost-effective purchases and ensure we maintain a fully stocked inventory.
HR Assistant skills we're looking for include excellent organization ability, familiarity with HR software and strong communication skills. You should be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
- Research potential vendors
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
- Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
- Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
- Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources Manager
- Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
- Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc)
- Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, and leaves)
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Assistant and HR Assistant
- Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular)
- Familiarity with ATS software
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communications skills
