1st Line IT Support Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 1st Line IT Support Assistant to join our Central Services team based in our Canterbury office.
Direction Law is a firm proudly built on relationships.
With around 180 employees, and with over 45 years' experience in providing a range of conveyancing and other legal services to private individuals, housing providers and business clients, our expertise and increased market share allow us to continually expand our business to meet the demands of our work providers and clients.
We are therefore looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our business, who wish to be part of our success.
Direction Law are a constantly growing, progressive law firm and we are looking for a new person to join the IT team to assist with the provision of support to staff at all levels at our various offices across the country.
You will deal with all initial 1st line support issues across the network environment as well as assisting with the installation and configuration of new hardware and software, including some day to day network management.
- Able to manage, handle and prioritise multiple support calls and to communicate effectively and confidently with people at all levels in the organisation.
- The ability to perform well working from own initiative.
- Flexible to meet any reasonable requirements which arise.
- Relevant IT experience or qualification.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, and the ability to recognise when problems need escalating to senior members of the team.
- Patience and Perseverance to see problems through to resolution.
- Hands on experience supporting users within a Windows environment, including remote workers.
- Some understanding of networking including hardware (switches, routers etc.), security, performance monitoring and maintenance will be advantageous.
- Supporting end user VOIP Softphone system issues and problems.
- Supporting end user MFD printers across all offices.
- Experience working first and second line support using a ticketing system.
- Maintaining end point devices through the use of Microsoft Intune
You should be a focused individual with high attention to detail, who is a happy to work in a largely reactive manner.
This is a full time role based in our Canterbury office however occasional travel to and overnight stays in our other office locations may be necessary from time to time.
