Deputy Service Director Community Hospitals

An exciting opportunity is now available to join Gloucestershire Health and Care to jointly lead our innovative physical health Community Hospitals.

This post can be up to 30 hours of which 18.75 will be a job share with the current post holder.

The other 11.25 hours available would require the post holder to oversight the reporting and performance management of the services.


The principle role is as a job share with the existing post holder who will complete a retire and return in early 2023, you will be responsible for leading and managing a diverse portfolio made up of 196 inpatient beds, a Community Assessment and Treatment Unit, 14 specialist Stroke rehabilitation beds, 2 general theatres, 2 endoscopy units and 9 outpatient sites, with a workforce in excess of 500wte.


We are busy, ambitious directorate and require agile leadership to keep moving ahead with our modernisation agenda, working alongside system partners to enable people on to their next step of rehabilitation or treatment as efficiently as possible whilst holding our values close as we do so, leading compassionately and creatively.
