The LJMU's Catering team is part of the Estate Development and Campus Service department and operates 7 on campus catering outlets along with an internal hospitality and events provision. Following a significant period of growth, we have recently embarked on a restructure of our team and are now seeking to recruit a Kitchen and Production Manager to join the Catering senior management team.

Reporting to the Catering Operations Manager, you will be responsible for development, production, and distribution of all food activity across the University. Leading the hospitality, kitchen and transport teams, you will promote the highest standards of service delivery and food preparation, ensuring legal compliance with food safety and health & safety legislation.

You will have:

Significant experience of working as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a large catering and hospitality operation Experienced in successfully leading and implementing programmes of change; developing staff, culture and systems to support change Experience of servicing for a diverse customer base Excellent communication skills Ability to develop a positive customer care ethos within team members

The Kitchen and Food Production Manager will work primarily Monday to Friday (with an expectation to work a maximum of 8 weekends an year) on a permanent, full time annualised hours contract.
