While full training will be provided on our menu and operational procedures, it is essential that you are prepared to take initiative from day one. Proficiency with grilling, understanding kitchen tickets, and effectively managing food orders to the appropriate stations and chefs is crucial. We are seeking a candidate who can inspire and develop our kitchen staff alongside our Head Chef.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Kitchen Management
- Ensure the kitchen operates in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain regular and effective communication with the Head Chef.
- Oversee preparation levels and provide clear instructions to kitchen staff.
- Assist in managing and tracking stock levels.
- Ensure the kitchen is well-maintained and serviced as needed.
- Work towards meeting all audit requirements.
- Lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to remain composed and perform under pressure.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Financial acumen and organizational skills.
- Basic IT proficiency.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Capability to motivate and guide team members.
Food Quality, Presentation, and Hygiene Standards
- Participate in health and safety training, as well as food safety training.
- Ensure all food served meets the highest quality standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff to maintain food quality and hygiene standards.
- Report any concerns regarding food quality or freshness to management.
- Implement stock labeling and rotation systems to ensure proper inventory management.
- Communicate any equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Verify the quality and quantity of all incoming produce.
- Ensure all kitchen documentation is accurately completed.
- Maintain accurate records for cleaning schedules and temperature checks.
- Team Development
- Assist the Head Chef in training new kitchen staff.
- Ensure kitchen teams are effectively managed and supported through training and development.
- Provide constructive feedback to the Head Chef regarding team performance.
