MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT WORKER

LOCATION:

HOURS: 35 Hours (Day shifts, no nights)

DURATION:

Are you a strong, experienced support professional who would relish an opportunity to work for a leading Welsh Charity who has successfully improved the lives of thousands of individuals struggling with their mental health?

If so, BRC have a position available for a Support Worker in Swansea


You will be working in a unique project, which offers support to people experiencing a crisis in their mental health.

This project offers a safe and supportive environment that is responsive to people's needs and aims to alleviate distress.


You will focus on developing trusting relationships with vulnerable women, carrying out life sessions around topics such as self-care, mindfulness and independent life skills.

Additionally you will link clients in with other support services such as Health, Housing, Social Services and DWP to provide a holistic package of care.


Our client is looking for someone who understands the challenges faced by those who are struggling from mental health, substance and alcohol misuse.

You will need to be confident in using your own initiative, be able to stay calm in crisis and comfortable addressing people displaying challenging behaviour.


Working a variety of day shifts throughout the week, this role will give you plenty of time for your own personal commitments.
