About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our dynamic Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in Swansea. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals receiving secondary care mental health services, empowering them to achieve independence and well-being.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive assistance to qualified mental health professionals during clinic sessions.
  • Contribute to patient care by monitoring medication administration and recording observations accurately.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to clinic bookings and scheduling, ensuring smooth operations.

Essential Requirements

  • Possess a minimum QCF Level 3 qualification in Health or demonstrate a commitment to obtaining this qualification.
  • Actively participate in relevant training courses and study days to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Healthcare Support Worker role scope and adhere to the Code of Conduct.
  • Possess a strong foundation in patient care fundamentals, confidentiality protocols, and safeguarding principles.

Experience and Attributes

  • Bring significant experience as a Healthcare Assistant, ideally within a mental health setting.
  • Exhibit empathy, compassion, resilience, and adaptability in challenging situations.
  • Communicate effectively, collaborate seamlessly within a team environment, prioritize tasks efficiently, and escalate concerns appropriately.
