Coram is committed to improving the lives of the UK's most vulnerable children and young people.

We support children and young people from birth to independence, creating a change that lasts a lifetime.

Coram is the UK's oldest children's charity founded by Thomas Coram in London helping vulnerable children and young people since 1739.

Today, the Coram group helps more than one million children, young people, families and professionals every year by providing access to the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.

About Coram Family and Childcare

Coram Family and Childcare works to make the UK a better place for families by bringing together what we learn from out on the ground parent-led programmes and our research to campaign for solutions that parents want and need.

We focus on childcare and the early years to make a difference to families' lives now and in the long term.

About the role

This role provides the exciting opportunity to work with local and central government officers, childcare providers, families and passionate volunteers to help children and families get the best start in the crucial early years.

The Programmes Officer will be responsible for supporting local Parent Champions schemes through helping to make sure they have the resources, training and support they need to run a successful volunteering scheme.

They will also support our local authority membership offer and work with the wider early years sector to make sure they have the information and support needed to help families thrive.

As a key member of a small team, the role will support the development and implementation of strategies and plans, and contribute to the longer term development of sustainable and effective programmes.

We know that our parent led approach really works for making a real difference for the families that need it most, so this role will work with us to expand our work to help reach more families.
