A new opportunity is available for an experienced Customer Acquisition Manager within AJ Bell.


Supporting the Head of Customer you will be responsible for the development and deployment of the D2C customer acquisition strategy.

You will manage the deployment of the firm's marketing spend across digital platforms and traditional platforms, workingclosely with external agencies and the Group Brand & PR Director.


Other duties will include, monitoring and management of customer acquisition costs, developing and refining the attribution model in the process, with CPA as a key performance measure.


As a leader, you will be mentoring a team to find, reach and attract new prospects and scale growth and revenue in line with targets, through the effective design and management of the customer acquisition strategy and plan using insight and analysis.

What does the job involve?

  • Working within agreed budgets to support the customer acquisition strategy
  • Managing the deployment of the D2C marketing budget alongside external agencies
  • Monitoring and management of customer acquisition costs
  • Analysis of marketing attribution data to inform acquisition
  • Analysis of customer and market behaviours to inform acquisition and budget determination
  • Making strategy recommendations to Head of Customer on customer acquisition
  • Management of direct reports
  • Working with team Data Analysts
  • Interaction with Group PR & Brand Director
Key Responsibilities

  • Evidence based / customer insight led strategy, planning and implementation in line with agreed targets and budgets
  • Partnering with agencies / suppliers ranging from research houses through to media and creative agencies
  • Working closely with the data team to align on the creation of always reports and dashboards aligned with key KPIs and metrics and the communication of insights to key stakeholders
  • Creation and delivery of insight reports / consolidated dashboards aligned with key KPIs and metrics
  • Communicating outputs as they align with key marketing metrics to demonstrate the value add of the team across all areas of the business
  • Management of Marketing budget to ensure activity is delivered in a costeffective manner within budget
Key Skills

  • Ability to find, engage and acquire customers effectively in a heavily regulated environment
  • Extensive traditional and digital acquisition experience
  • Confident leading paid campaigns across all digital channels
  • Extensive knowledge of digital advertising platforms
  • Excellent knowledge of customer engagement techniques in a digital marketing setting
  • Effective management of internal relationships across the business at all levels
  • Ability to anticipate trends in customer needs and behaviours (i.e. shifting channel consumption, market orientation, competitor trends etc.)
  • Strong project management / campaign planning experience
