You have a crucial role in the UK/Continental Power Trading Desk, part of a team focused on trading and managing positions across European markets.
The UK/Continental Power Trading team, within Shell Energy Europe & Africa's European Power Trading team, handles proprietary trading and oversees a portfolio comprising customer demand, renewable, batteries, and thermal generation. They manage exposures down to delivery.
SE-EA trades natural gas, power, green power certificates, environmental products with various counterparties.
What's the role?
- Support management of exposures from existing structures on the desk.
- Trade liquid option markets and make markets in illiquid option markets.
- Support bidding for cross border capacities.
- Collaborate with customers for new structures and deal types.
- Drive development of tools to value and manage option structures.
- Comply with regulatory guidelines.
- Coach junior colleagues.
What we need from you
We seek experienced trading professionals with European power option trading/pricing experience.
Experience of Asset Backed trading is beneficial.
Experience working with origination on deals with embedded optionality is a plus.
