Are you a proactive person with previous experience supporting or managing multiple externally funded projects and have the ability to build good working relationships with academic and professional service colleagues? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our client's newly reconfigured Research Grants Operations Team to focus on the coordination and financial management of research projects and their funding at a prestigious University.
About You:
- High work ethic & team player.

- Proficient with Microsoft excel
- You will hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification such as AAT and/or Prince2 Project Management or extensive project management experience
- You will hold experience with financial management of funded projects, using software packages and web services for example Worktribe and Dream.
- You will have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build positive and effective working relationships with staff both within and outside the university.
- You will have the ability to work flexibly and independently and manage/prioritise a diverse workload as well as being a cooperative and proactive team member.
- You will be able to demonstrate the ability to seek ways to improve and adjust current levels of service. Deals with complaints and initiates contact with customers to obtain their reactions and views about the service and future needs.
- You will have a high level of proficiency in using standard software packages, including Microsoft Office and ability to develop skills associated with specific systems for costing and grant reporting.
About the role:
- Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
- Salary: £37,386 per annum
- You will play a key role in helping our client's academic researchers to deliver a worldclass portfolio of innovative impactful research that has extensive societal and economic reach.
- Provide advice and guidance of a specialist nature to managers, staff, students and visitors
- Deliver established presentations to communicate information across Faculty/Dept/University
- Provide specialist administrative support to colleagues including academic and administrative staff
- Develop and manage projects that contribute to improving service delivery
- Develop and maintain systems and processes to ensure effective delivery of the service
