The Trust Central Recruitment Team is part of the People Operations team within the People Directorate.

Commercially competitive and focusing upon innovative service delivery and an excellent customer experience, the Recruitment team aspire to be a centre of excellence for best practice recruitment.


As well as providing a centralised operational recruitment service for all Clinical groups and directorates, the team also provides specialist expertise, through the Resourcing Partners, who are aligned with Clinical Groups and form part of the People Communities of Expertise.

We are looking to recruit three Resourcing Partners to help deliver our objectives for the Trust.


While the roles will be based at the Great Dover Street office where the central Recruitment teams are predominantly based, Resourcing Partners will also be required to work flexibly from any of the Trust sites including St Thomas', Guy's and Royal Brompton Hospitals, as required by the role.

Resourcing Partners provide specialist resourcing expertise, working in a hybrid way; as a resourcing partner aligned with a Clinical Group, but also as a senior manager within the central recruitment team supporting operational delivery of the recruitment service.

As a resourcing specialist, the post holder will work closely with the embedded Clinical Group Workforce teams and other Communities of Expertise teams, in order to provide expertise and strategic knowledge on a range of resourcing areas including:

  • attraction strategy / branding,
- recruitment analytics / trends / compliance,
- promotion of best practice in the recruitment and selection of staff; ensuring that it is fair, transparent and equitable and free from discrimination in accordance with our Recruitment Policy
- identifying where resourcing challenges represent a business risk and supporting the development of appropriate project plans and strategies to meet resourcing requirements and to mitigate risk.


The post holder will also provide line management / matrix management to the Senior Recruitment Managers, who manage the operational recruitment teams, which are organised according to staff group.

Key to success in the role will be the ability to motivate and inspire the team, encouraging innovation and a commitment to continuous improvement in order to maximise the efficiency, compliance and service quality of the Recruitment function.

We provide a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London and as well as specialist care for patients from further afield including cancer, renal, orthopaedic, respiratory and cardiovascular services.
