An exciting opportunity is available for a Band 5 nurse to join the Doncaster Intensive Home Treatment Team. The team offers short-term intensive support in the community to individuals with acute mental health needs to prevent hospital admission.
The team collaborates with third sector and peer organizations to provide person-centered crisis care, emphasizing transparency and openness. If you are a dedicated mental health nurse looking to make a meaningful impact on individuals and their families' lives and play a crucial role in their recovery journey, then working with the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team could be the right fit for you.
Main Responsibilities:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse with Risk assessment training
- Mental health care/treatment experience relevant to the service involving service users and carers in care delivery
- Ability to assess risks and co-produce risk management and contingency planning
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and Safeguarding Level 3 certification
- Experience working with local authorities, voluntary sector, and peer support services
- Thorough understanding of mental illnesses, their signs, and symptoms
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of trauma work and delivering Trauma-informed interventions
- Ability to assess and provide interventions for individuals who self-harm and understand the connection to suicidal thoughts
- Experience in managing individuals with substance misuse and training in suicide prevention and the Care Act
