To join our dedicated team, candidates should possess a background as a qualified nurse or allied health professional, demonstrating outstanding leadership and clinical capabilities. Successful candidates will engage in the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice master's degree program (level 7 apprenticeship) in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University. Commitment to fulfilling both the academic and clinical components of the program is required, with a full apprenticeship duration of three years.

Compensation will begin at the mid-point of Band 6; upon successful completion of academic modules in the first two years and core competencies, progression to Band 7 will follow. The program is expected to be completed within three years, barring exceptional circumstances.

Main Responsibilities

The Junior Advanced Clinical Practitioner will operate within a defined scope of practice, adhering to established clinical standards applicable across the Trust and local settings.

This multifaceted role encompasses:

  • Prescribing and advanced clinical evaluations across all systems
  • Diagnostic skills and comprehension of investigative procedures
  • Enhancing the quality and accessibility of healthcare services
  • Strengthening professional leadership

As a Junior Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will deliver high-quality clinical care to patients with diverse conditions, conducting comprehensive assessments, requesting and interpreting diagnostic tests, making informed decisions, providing treatment, prescribing medications, evaluating care, and referring to other healthcare professionals as necessary.

While working independently, the Junior Advanced Clinical Practitioner will consistently collaborate within a multidisciplinary team led by a Consultant.

Qualifications/Training

Essential

  • Current NMC or HCPC Registration
